Building Gallabat: Part 3

I wasn't sure if I would complete all of these related scenic projects in time for my game - but I did.

I worked ridiculously hard to get them all done in time, but it was extremely fulfilling to hurl myself into the hobby once more as I only had a month to indulge myself.

I'm already back in PNG and away from all my gaming and modelling hobby for a further six months before my next leave home - so I made the most of it.

The other satisfying thing about building the native village, the customs buildings, the town houses, the entrenched positions, the elephant grass, the Zariba hedges and the barbed wire entanglements is that can all be used again and again for multiple other scenarios beyond just this game. I've really boosted my utility terrain for desert gaming.

There's not really a lot more to say about these constructions beyond what I've previously posted beyond just exhibiting the finished products.

The entrenchments have one fault. I was confident that the communication trenches were sufficiently wide to accommodate my figures, but my confidence was misplaced.

Should have checked it. They will work for some but not others it seems.

Here's a few shots of the competed table-top and a few shots of the game.

It was a vehicle for further play-testing my new rules, 'Fire & Dice' which I'm in the process of completing. Much, much more on that later this year.
