Anglo-Allied Peninsular Command: Lt Col Robert BARCLAY
Robert Barclay was brevetted to Brigade Commander for Busaco from the 52nd Oxfordshire Light Infantry. He commanded one of the two Light Division brigades and I have given him a mounted ADC from the 95th rifles.
Not a lot is known about Barclay and he died the following year in 1811 of wounds. He was 36 at Busaco and was a rising star having been repeatedly mentioned in dispatches. For this reason it may be unfair of me to have attributed only a command rating of 7.
Barclay's ADC is a freshly completed Perry Miniatures figure and my Barclay is an older Old Glory effort. This particular sculpt has his bicorn at perhaps the most jaunty angle out there.
