Anglo-Allied Peninsular Command: Maj Gen Bret SPENCER

"Poor Brent Spencer, nice but dim,
They made an equerry of him,
As such he set royal hearts a fluster,
An interest of Princess Augusta."
from 'Wellington's Generals' by Andrew Bamford.

As my Anglo-Allied peninsular army is based around the army fielded for Busaco in 1810 and it was Bret Spencer who commanded the first division - 'the Gentleman's Sons'. Once more, his command card includes the only image of his available on the internet.

In regards to the Command Cards, you may notice that some have no points allocated but others, like that of Major General Bret Spencer here has a cost of 25 points (Black Powder) because he is a better commander with Command Rating 8.

As a divisional commander, Spencer gets a larger command base with three or more figures - in this case, an ADC and two escorting riflemen from the 95th.

Whilst the two riflemen are freshly painted figures, Spencer and his ADC are much older paint jobs, with Spencer being from the Old Glory range and the ADC from the Perry Miniatures range.
