Anglo-Allied Peninsular Command: Lt General Viscount Sir Arthur Wellesley
Well, my army general needs little to no introduction. For the life of me I can't recall the manufacturer of this figure and I have to observe that 'the Peer' is not well represented across his career and across manufacturers to my point of view. This casting is simple and elegant I feel.
Again, very happy with this card and thanks once more to Adrian McWalter and his Albion Triumphant Black Powder supplement for the command data and attributes. I have printed these all off on A5 card stock and they look a treat even if I say so myself.
Whilst I have given 'the Beau' a larger command base than the rest, he only has two escorts as he pushes out to reconnoitrer for himself - a habit of his. As such, I have given him two KGL hussar escourts (Front Rank).
Other than build the base up and label it, this is a very old vignette and paint job for all you can see. It will do and so too will this series of command posts for my Peninsular Anglo-Allies.
Wellington is a Connoisseur miniature cast still by Bicorne. Lovely stands of figures!
ReplyDeleteExcellent. Many thanks for the information and the compliment.
DeleteWhat a great looking command base, well done that man!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray. If I was to build it from scratch today, he'd have gotten an ADC as well, He'll have to make do with a broken gun.
DeleteA lovely little command stand Greg…
ReplyDeleteIn time you could always add another stand containing an ADC/ADC’s and various messengers…
All the best. Aly
Much appreciated Aly. I have considered a 'Staff' vignette which extends a commander's range for a cost.
